Job Title: Minister of Religion/ Ministry Co-ordinator

                Indian - Christian


To position ourselves for the future, Cross Ministries based in London are expanding and restructuring their London team.

We are now seeking passionate, talented, and creative individuals who can help us grow our profile and supporter awareness networks in London. We are looking for a full-time Minister of Religion/ Ministry Coordinator to join the team. Reporting to the senior pastor, this role is aimed at highly collaborative team players, who will deliver in their areas of responsibility helping to organise and deliver events, coordinate volunteers, connect with our senior pastor and youth activities. The successful candidate will be an outstanding communicator and influencer, passionate about the work of Cross Ministries with a strong ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks, projects or events as well as engage, enthuse and motivate volunteers.

This role will be responsible for the day to day running of the charity, undertaking a wide variety of office administration duties and represent Cross Ministries to all volunteers, callers and visitors.

There is an occupational requirement for the job holder of this position to be a committed Christian. Additional information is available on request.


Key responsibilities:

  • Working among the Christian Indian community within the organisation to improve the lifestyle of people 

  • To organise visits with individuals at various offices and attend appointments for translation purposes and filling up documents or applications

  • Perform spiritual functions associated with beliefs and practices of Cross Ministries and provide motivation, guidance and training in religious life for the members and the wider community.

  • Organise evangelism and prayer meetings with a specific focus on Young adults, Youth and the elderly.

  • Teach bible studies with a specific focus on new believers joining the church.

  • Conduct outreach and prayer meetings among new and potential believers.

  • Co-ordinate the integration of new believers into the church

  • Engage in prayer and fasting to build spiritual covering for the church.

  • Playing a key role in church growth, expansion and attending meeting base on the church aim and objective.

  • Provide counselling, emotional and spiritual support for the congregation and community members in time of crisis and personal emergencies.

  • Engage in regular prayers and fasting exercises to build spiritual covering for congregants and the community.

  • Preach and Teach the word of God in church services as scheduled by our religious beliefs.

  • Research and constantly attend training, retreats and seminars to improve their knowledge of the scripture and its teachings.

  • Capable of dealing with personal issues guided by the Holy Bible with compassion and maturity.

  • Visit church members, people in the community and those that are not able to attend church services.

  • Capable of working in co-operation under the supervision of the Senior Pastor.

  • Capable of cooperation with other staff in a multi-cultural environment

  • Perform any other role that may be assigned by the Director/Founder

  • Provide education for children and adults by preaching or teaching

  • Offer counselling and welfare support to members of the organisation

  • Recruit, train and co-ordinate.


Required skills and experience:

  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.                                                                                               

  • Must be Born again and filled with the Holy Spirit

  • Must have the fruits mentioned in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:7-9

  • Must have organisation skills, self-motivation, good written/verbal communication skills in English, Hindi and Marathi; team Player, compassion

  • Spiritual gifts: Administration, leadership, teaching

  • Must have experience in deliverance ministry

  • Must be willing to undertake missionary work and travels within the UK.

  • Experience of working in an office environment

  • Regular church attendee

  • Senior-level administration experience with excellent attention to detail and used to working autonomously within the remit of the role

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, able to communicate positively, assertively and sensitively within a cross-functional team environment

  • Efficient and organised approach, able to operate on own initiative and demonstrate resourcefulness

Benefits:

•      Annual salary £17,000 per annum.

•      Full time, 37.5 hours per week

•      22 days annual leave plus 9 bank holidays per year

•      Additional paid leave between Christmas and the New Year office closure.
